SMS Messaging Policy

This SMS Policy describes how Paiv (operated by ICG Labs LLC) sends text messages to users. You consent to receive automated text messages by explicitly checking the SMS consent checkbox during phone verification.

1. Program Description

Paiv sends text messages to help users verify their identity, receive activity match notifications, and coordinate meetups with their matched partners. All messages are directly related to your use of the Paiv platform.

2. How to Opt In

You opt in to receive SMS messages from Paiv by:

1. Visiting paiv.app/verify
2. Entering your mobile phone number in the field provided
3. Checking the unchecked SMS consent checkbox: "I agree to receive SMS messages from Paiv, including verification codes and activity match notifications. Message and data rates may apply. Up to 10 messages/week. Reply STOP to unsubscribe, HELP for help." The checkbox is not pre-selected — you must actively check it to consent.
4. Tapping “Send code” (only enabled after the checkbox is checked) and entering the 4-digit verification code you receive

By completing phone verification, you confirm you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number provided and that you have affirmatively opted in to receive SMS messages as described above.

3. Message Types and Frequency

Authentication messages:

• One-time passcodes (OTPs) sent when you sign in or verify your number
• Sent only when you initiate a sign-in or verification action

Match and activity notifications:

• Match confirmation: "You've been matched with [first name] for [activity] on [day/time]."
• Activity reminders: "Reminder: [activity] tomorrow at [time]. Your partner has confirmed."
• Post-activity prompt: "Did [first name] show up today? Tap to confirm."
• Match updates: changes to event time, cancellations, or partner changes

Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your activity schedule and match status. You may receive up to 10 messages per week when actively participating. If you are not active on the platform, you will receive no messages.

4. How to Opt Out

You may opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message you receive from Paiv. After opting out:

• You will receive one final confirmation message: "You've been unsubscribed from Paiv SMS. No further messages will be sent."
• No further marketing or notification messages will be sent.
• You may still receive OTPs if you initiate a sign-in, as these are required for account security.
• You can re-enroll at any time by verifying your phone number again at paiv.app/verify.

6. Costs

Paiv does not charge for text messages. However, your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates may apply depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for details. Paiv is not responsible for any charges incurred from your carrier.

7. Supported Carriers

Paiv SMS is supported by all major US carriers including AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, US Cellular, and others. Carrier support may vary by location.

8. Privacy

Your phone number is collected and used solely for the purposes described in this policy and our Privacy Policy. We do not share your phone number with third parties for marketing purposes. Your number is processed by Twilio, Inc. as our SMS service provider, under a data processing agreement.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this SMS Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via SMS or by posting the updated policy at paiv.app/sms-policy with a new effective date.
